Our adoptions include a five-year health guarantee. We will be happy to send you a copy of our adoption agreement.
Our adoption fees begin at nine hundred dollars for young kittens. Adolescents (6-8 months) are six hundred dollars, (9-12 months) are four or five hundred dollars and retired show kitties or breeders begin at three hundred fifty dollars. Kitties are evaluated on conformation, personality, and age. Shipping fees, cabin carriers, microshipping, health certificates, out of state interstate shipping permits with applicable/mandatory are additional. Knowing that RagaMuffins and Siberians live to be age 20+ one needs to keep in mind that kittenhood is extremely short and adolescence is prolonged...and one day at age four or five, voilą... you have a magnificent kitty....thus, adopting becomes a long-term commitment.

Since August 2011, the air fare to ship anywhere in the US and Canada is running two hundred seventy-five dollars. A kitty carrier suitable for air travel is about thirty-five dollars depending upon size.
A health certificate depending upon tests for Interstate travel is required and is about $75.00-to-$125.00 and we are happy to have your kitten micro-chipped (appx $40.00) at your request. Shipping has been easy, as our Regional Southwest (RSW) International terminal is only 30 minutes from Ja Ja. We try to fly counter-to-counter whenever possible..........
Soft carriers are inexpensive and you may have your choice when you travel with your kitten in the cabin on board as hand-carried baggage... in a soft or hard carrier. Your kitten even has its own ticket and travels with you right under your seat. (You definitely need to pre-book early: individual airlines have limits on the number of cats in the cabin - the rest go in the cargo hold).
Adopting an Adolescent or Adult Kitty On occasion Ja Ja has a retired Queen for adoption and others retired from the breeding program. There are many advantages to adopting an adolescent or an adult. Currently we have a couple of young adolescent kitties between the ages of nine and twelve months. The fees are reduced 1/3-to-1/2. Individual photographs, descriptions of temperament/personality can be emailed. Adoption fees for young adolescents, older adolescents, retired breeders vary from five hundred to seven hundred - neutering/spaying is additional

Visiting Ja Ja We love having visitors and we are very easy to locate in Cape Coral, just across the Caloosahatchee River adjacent to our sister city, Fort Myers.

It is a same-day made-to-order diet that does not sit in warehouses / grocery counters. What are Siberians?
Characteristics of Siberians
Siberians are much like RagaMuffins and Maine Coons... and there is
strong evidence that they are hypoallergenic. A rare breed, they are
Russian forest kitties and Russia's national cat. Siberians are
beautiful, loving, loyal, your shadow, intelligent, trainable, 'flyers,'
and 'chirpers.' They are slow maturing kitties. Sibs love to butt
heads and they come up to you and smell (literally sniff) you. They come
when you call their name. Sibs are very much like RagaMuffins, requiring
little
grooming, but they love to be brushed and combed.

Grooming The Siberians and RagaMuffins are self-groomers ... they are low maintenance because they rarely have tangles/mats (truly they are mat resistant) and are always preening themselves. We recommend that a kitty go to the groomer every couple of months or that you learn to bathe and groom your kitty yourself. In my booklet of information and notes, I give detailed instructions on how to bathe and groom your kitty. We comb our kittens and kitties but they do like to be brushed. Maintaining their lovely rabbity, ermine-like coat is easy. They love ribbons and will wear cloth neck triangles (cowboy/cowgirl scarves). Children can dress them up and push them around in a baby carriage.
Brilliant Beautiful Minds Both RagaMuffins and Siberians are cerebral, highly intelligent cat breeds. They can be taught to fetch. Don a harness and attach a leash and they'll soon be talking walks with you. They love car rides (after their initial adjustment). When going to shows, we position them so they can see out of the vehicle and they enjoy the ride! (They also are fascinated by the "Animal Planet" TV program!)
